OREANDA-NEWS. On May 23, 2007 at the recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which considered the work of the national fuel and energy complex for the past 4 months, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov marked the need to improve approaches to materialization of considerable natural, industrial, research and human potential for further dynamic development of the basic sector of national economy, reported the Presidential website www.turkmenistan.gov.tm.

The use of available production facilities enables “Turkmennebit” State Concern to achieve the sustainable growth of hydrocarbons production that is proved by the results of the concern’s work for 4 months of current year.

Thus, its oil and gas enterprises produced 2,306 million tons of oil that 100,000 tons more as compared to the same period of 2006. Gas production increased as many as 1.5 times and gas delivery to the first Turkmen transnational Turkmenistan-Iran pipeline doubled, attesting a considerable potential of national oil and gas industry.

The maintenance crews made a great contribution to the common success. Since the current year beginning “Kapremontneftegas” Trust enterprises put back into operation about 20 wells and that enabled to produce additional 135,000 tons of oil. Such high indicators are results of the branch technical re-equipment. Over recent years the technical fleet has been renovated by 70 percent: new machinery of the world leading producers replaced the obsolete equipment.

Since the year beginning three lifters have been delivered from CPR under the contract and the tender is announced for purchasing six elevators of Russian production.
