OREANDA-NEWS. Gas treatment and transportation plant of Korpeje field division of “Turkmenneft” state concern, the only one in Western Turkmenistan for the time being, is built by the “NINICK” National Petroleum Construction Company (Iran) for treating and piping Turkmen gas to Iran. This universal plant capacity is 8,5 billion cubic meters annually or 26 million cubic meters daily enables to fully meet the consumers’ needs, reported the Presidential website www.turkmenistan.gov.tm.

Built in the desert enterprise is supplied the newest equipment and high technologies for uninterruptedly supply and transmission of nearly the whole amount of highest treatment standard gas. Korpeje gas production enterprise has been several times distinguished as the best one in the system of the “Turkmenneft” state concern.

Its management established every necessary condition for labor safety, healthy and well-designed industrial environment. No-break, continuous operation of the large enterprise secures accurate fulfillment of the engagements under the contacts with Turkmen gas consumers.

The industrial processes at the gas treatment plant are c fully automated. An operator controls the operating modes and parameters with the use of modern computer programmes. The software enables to start up or stop gas dewatering mechanisms, increase or decrease fuel delivery into the pipeline, alter the booster station’ operating parameters, switch on or off the diesel-generators, control a desalination unit operation or the amount of gas piped from the field.

The Korpeje gas field is located several kilometers away from the high-capacity plant. The sandy plain with the man-caused landscape - oil and gas wells armature, drilling rigs, gas and oil pipelines. Here in the area of 20 kilometers in radius over 20 million cubic meters of natural gas are produced daily. For a long time the high petroleum gas flares have been flaming out in the gas field, two years ago the flares were 'locked in' the pipes.

A gas-compressor booster station of 9 million cubic meters daily capacity, built by the “MAN” German company in Korpeje, enabled to it. Modern equipment for increasing petroleum gas pressure considerably improved the ecological conditions in the vast territory and contributed to more efficient use of natural resources of large gas fields. Now petroleum gas is piped from Korpeje and the neighboring gas- and oil-bearing areas such as Keimir, Akpatlavuk to the gas compressor station.

Simultaneously with a booster station construction a desalination plant of 250 cubic meters daily capacity was put into operation. It fully meets the needs of the growing production, stocks drinking water the enterprise personnel and supplies water for planting greenery in the enterprise neighborhoods and their watering.

From this oasis in the desert treated and purified from condensate and other admixtures natural and petroleum gas of equally high pressure are supplied to 1,020 mm diameter pipeline, which transports natural fuel from Korpeje to Kurt-Kuyi and further to Iran.

Next year Korpeje division specialists plan to increase the amount of tank natural gas supplied to consumers. The developmental programme will be implemented through increased 'blue fuel' production in the Caspian coastal fields - Ekerem, Shatud, Akpatlavuk, Chekishlyar and application of the advanced technologies, connected with increased passage of tank gas.

In particular, Korpeje division specialists are going to build at the expense of own funds a gas low-temperature separation unit in Chekishlyar field. A gas treatment unit and compressor booster station will be put into operation in the Akpatlavuk and Keimir fields. This will enable to market up to 14 billion cubic meters of 'blue fuel' annually.
