OREANDA-NEWS. 1st and 3rd units of Smolensk NPP in service. They are operating at a total capacity of 1995 MW. The 2nd unit is being overhauled with some of its channel assemblies being replaced.

In May SNPP has supplied the united energy system of Russia with 1.297bln KWh. Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 7.184bln KWh, which is 135mln kWh more than planned.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
