OJSC BANK URALSIB Signs a Mandate for a New Syndicated Loan
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 24, 2007 OJSC BANK URALSIB has mandated Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Commerzbank, RZB, Societe Generale and SMBC to arrange a $300 million, two-year syndicated loan, reported the press-centre of OJSC BANK URALSIB.
According to Alexander V. Dementiev, First Vice President, URALSIB Financial Corporation and Deputy Chairman, BoD, OJSC BANK URALSIB, "this deal confirms the URALSIB's status of the Partner of choice for the international financial institutions. The two-year maturity is the longest secured by the borrower to date, and the margin is 75 basis points (bps) over LIBOR, it proves the high level of trust of our counterparties".
Syndication will launch the week of May 21-25. The loan will be used for financing some of the Bank's trade-related projects.
