OREANDA-NEWS. The families of 70 military men guarding Kursk NPP moved into new apartment house in Kurchatov.

In 2006 part of the house was given to Kursk NPP employees under a mortgage crediting program. Now, the remaining apartments have been provided to the Interior Ministry’s unit 3527, which is set to guard Kursk NPP.

The relevant act was signed by the deputy director general-the director for special security of Rosenergoatom Nikolay Safronov. He noted that Rosatom and Rosenergoatom perfectly realize the necessity of solving the housing problems of the service men guarding NPPs. This action is just the beginning of a large-scale program for housing NPP guards. Safronov wished the new tenants peace and happiness.

In his response, the deputy chief commander of the internal troops of Russia, Lieut. Gen. Nikolay Lubchenko said that it is the first time that a military unit has received so many flats at one time. “This action by Rosatom and Rosenergoatom is a really great gift for us and we feel obliged to raise the efficiency of our duty”, said Lubchenko.

“Safety is our common task: we produce safe energy, you ensure the safety of our NPPs. Rosatom and Rosenergoatom care for the people who protect them. Today, we have improved the housing conditions of 70 families, but not only: their old flats will be given to 30 other families”, added the deputy chief commander of the internal troops of Russia.

The deputy governor of Kursk region Vladimir Boytsov and the mayor of Kurchatov Yuri Kosyrev welcomed the action.

After the ceremony the beneficiaries invited the Rosenergoatom and Interior Ministry representatives to visit their new houses. The latter accepted the invitation with pleasure.
