OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2007. The International Investment Forum "The Regions of Russia - Strategies of Growth" timed to the XVI-th annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was held in Kazan on May 19, 2007.

German Greff, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, Mentimir Shaymiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Jean Lemier, the President of EBRD participated in the work of the Forum.

In addition to participating in the plenary part of the Forum the experts of OAO TATNEFT have actively participated in the sessions of all five topical "round tables" devoted to the problems of the regional development. The role of special economic zones, possibility of using the financial market instruments, as well as the mechanisms of the governmental and private partnership have been reviewed, and the experience of foreign investors in implementing projects in the territory of various regions of  the Russian Federation has been studied.

The exhibition "Investment Potential of the Republic of Tatarstan" in which Tatneft Company has been presented by the wide range of displays dedicated to different activity areas has been arranged in the framework  of the Forum.
