OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian air carrier Transaero Airlines increased its number of passengers by 46 percent to 731,123 people in January-April 2007, the company's press office reported today.

Passenger traffic climbed 54 percent to nearly 3,382bn passenger-kilometers in the first four months of 2007 compared to the same period in 2006. Cargo traffic amounted to almost 328,594m tonne-kilometers, which is 50 percent higher than in January-April 2006.
