OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2007. Attending the conference are directors and specialists of leading Russian medical institutions, regional directors of the Federal Medical Biological Agency of Russia, doctors, representatives of medical equipment and medicine suppliers – a total of 50 people from 14 cities of Central and Southern Russia and Volga region, reported the press-centre of  Novovoronezh NPP.
The objective of the forum is not only to sum up the results of professional activities but also to exchange experience. The conferees will hear and discuss over 20 reports. The leading experts will help their colleagues to work out coordinated immunoprophylaxis programs.
The head of the Epidemiology Department of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the FMBA, honored doctor of Russia Lenard Aksyonov said that in Novovoronezh the quality of health care has always been high, and, now that FMBA experts have given their recommendations, it will be raised to the standards of the National Health Program.
On May 15 the conferees visited the 4th unit of Novovoronezh NPP and inspected the control department, machine room and observation site. The managers of the plant presented them with booklets about NNPP and Rosenergoatom.
The conference will last till May 18.
According to official statistics, nuclear power engineers live 7–8 years more than workers of other industries.
