OREANDA-NEWS. RAS net profit of oil major TNK-BP went up 2-fold y/y in 2006 to RUR 119,39bn (USD 3,9bn). Its gross profit declined by 31,2% to RUR 243,9bn. The company also announced that its RAS revenues for 2006 went down by 1,2-fold to RUR 584,5bn. It looks that optimization of taxation is responsible for such strong profit growth because the advance of TNK-BP’s pre-tax profit was only 33,7% to RUR 156,8bn.
