OREANDA-NEWS. Kazakhstan intends to transport practically all oil to the global markets via the territory of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated.

“Cooperation with Russia in oil and gas sphere has a strategic nature, particularly transport of the Kazakh hydrocarbons to global markets utilizing Russia’s pipelines and joint refining of hydrocarbon resources. Kazakhstan adheres for the major part of Kazakh hydrocarbons to be transported via the territory of Russia” Nazrabaev said at negotiation with Vladimir Putin in Astana.

Kazakh leader reminded that last year Kazakhstan exported 52,3 million tons of oil, off which 42 million tons were transported via Russia.
