OREANDA-NEWS. 100-hour uninterrupted pilot testing of the nominal capacity of the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP was completed on May 13 2007, reported the press-centre of  Atomstroyexport. The general contractor of the project Atomstroyexport has also tested the lock valves of the turbines. Two more tests will be carried out shortly.

At the next stage the unit will be put into commercial service. Since its launch the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP has produced 2 373 550 MWh. Atomstroyexport is the leading Russian organization implementing intergovernmental agreements on the construction of nuclear power facilities abroad. Presently, it is the only company in the world that is simultaneously building 7 nuclear power units in China, India, Iran and Bulgaria.
