OREANDA-NEWS. On May 10, 2007 RAO "UES of Russia" has developed and approved a new standard, Thermal and Hydropower Plants. Methods for Assessing the Quality of Repairs of Power Equipment. Basic Provisions. The Standard was developed in accordance with the Federal Law On Technical Regulation, reported the press-centre of  RAO "UES of Russia".

The Standard will be used by the WGCs, TGCs, repair and maintenance and other companies providing services to power plants. It sets uniform technical and organizational requirements for assessing the repairs quality. The new standard will help improve the level of industrial and environmental safety and reliability, as well as the efficiency of power plants within the framework of the common technological policy for the electricity sector.
