OREANDA-NEWS. Russia's largest pipe maker TMK has confirmed information that it was in talks with Ukraine's Interpipe. Negotiations have been launched recently, the Russian company said in a statement today.

The two pipe producers are currently discussing a potential deal. However, no details about the prospective deal have been divulged. Meanwhile, there are speculations that TMK and Interpipe are in talks on the possible merger. If the deal is struck, the joint company will be able to surpass Luxembourg's Tenaris, the world leader in pipe production.
