OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2007. In 2006, Rosgosstrakh Group of Companies reported premiums of 47.6 billion ($1.8bln/EUR1.4bln). Premiums (less mandatory medical insurance) totalled 44.3b roubles ($1.7mln/URE1.3bln), a year-on-year increase of 122%. Growth rates in the main part of the property insurance portfolio (voluntary property insurance, both private and corporate, motor own damage insurance, transport and agricultural insurance, financial risks) equalled 137.5%. Rosgosstrakh's mandatory medical insurance almost doubled from a previous year. In this and other types of insurance, Rosgosstrakh is one of the market leaders.
