OREANDA-NEWS. A joint seminar of Rosenergoatom and Electricite de France will start in Paris on May 9 2006. The sides will discuss the problems of control over the quality of products and services provided by contractor companies, the activities of inspection services and the ways to enhance personnel efficiency on the basis of inspection results.

Rosenergoatom will be represented by the general inspector Erik Posdyshev, his first deputy Ivan Zonov, the head of the Directorate for Inspection of Facilities and Production of Equipment and Pipelines Aleksey Kochetkov, the chief inspector of Balakovo NPP Aleksey Petrov, the chief inspector of Kursk NPP Vyacheslav Ryakhin.

The Russian delegation will visit Chinon NPP. Pozdyshev will meet with the general inspector of EDF Pierre Wiroth.

The head of Rosenergoatom’s Department of International Activities Anatoly Kirichenko says that the Russian side is interested in EDF’s control and inspection experience.

Rosenergoatom and EDF have been cooperating since 1993. In the last years the companies have had different forms of cooperation. Presently they are implementing six big projects in Russia.

The sides are planning to meet in Russia in Sept to discuss problems of security.
