OREANDA-NEWS. On May 03, 2007 state-of-the-art individual protection means have been presented at Balakovo NPP on the occasion of the International Labor Day, reported the press-centre of Nuclear Power Industry. The management of the plant has always seen that the personnel have all necessary protective means. Last year alone the plant spent over 19mln RUR on special clothes, shoes and other means of individual protection.

During the presentation the plant’s personnel and representatives of the contractor companies were able to see various means of individual protection: from gas masks and special suits to protective creams of both Russian and foreign manufacture. These products are meant not only for industrial and construction companies but also for emergency and interior forces. All of the products, including respirators, have been certified by Gosgortekhnadzor (State Technical Inspection). The producers offered flexible prices and an opportunity of free of charge on-site testing.
