OREANDA-NEWS. May 4, 2007. The whole podium in the trucks event and the fourth place in the “absolute” – that is the result of the performance of the “KAMAZ-master” team in II Stage of the Russian Championship on the motor rally-raid “Khazarskiye Stepi-2007”.

The track of over 1 thousand kilometers ran through the territories of the Volgograd and Astrsakhan regions.

Ilgizar Mardeyev, the silver prize winner of “Dakar-2007”, took the lead in the trucks event, having overtaken more than 35 competitors. The second place went to Eduard Nikolayev’s crew; the third was Andrey Karghinov’s team.

Ilgizar Mardeyev became the fourth in the absolute event, having lost to the automobile crews of Leonid Novitsky, Boris Gadasin and Konstantin Zhiltsov.

Thereby, the “KAMAZ-master” team became the fivefold winner of the rally-raid “Khazarskiye Stepi” in the trucks category.
