OREANDA-NEWS. May 4, 2007. JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” became laureate of the International Premium “A Leader of Economic Development of Russia” in nomination “The Best Taxpayer of Russia – 2006” founded by the Interregional Organization of Employers with support of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Committee on Budget and Taxes of the State Duma of RF.

The Premium marks financial transparency and high social responsibility of the national air carrier. Aeroflot ensures high growth rate of tax revenues, duly and full payment of taxes, duly submission of declarations, and high level of average salary of employees that made 33972 rubles in 2006.

For many years Aeroflot has been the largest taxpayer ensuring over 70% of all tax revenues of the industry. On the whole Aeroflot paid 11,03 bln. rubles as taxes to budgets of all levels in 2006, as compared with 6,961 bln. rubles in 2005. Tax payments to the federal budget made 1,547 bln. rubles, to the budget of the constituent entities of the Federation – 2,153 bln. rubles including 0,622 bln. rubles to the Moscow budget and 1,532 bln. rubles to the budget of Moscow region. After opening of the subsidiaries in St. Petersburg and Magadan Aeroflot pays taxes to the budgets of these cities as well.

Revenues from realization of the corporate services in 2006 increased by 13,53% as compared with previous year and made 71,353 bln. rubles, revenues from main business - 3,833 bln. rubles. Main business expenditures grew by 7,04% and made 4,195 bln. rubles.

Corporate income according to RAS before income taxes in 2006 made 11,433 bln. rubles that is 36,66% more as compared with 2005. Net income of Aeroflot in 2006 vs. 2005 increased by 1,949 bln. rubles or 32% and made 7,981 bln. rubles.

Economic achievements of the company actively facilitate realization of the federal programs of RF and tax deductions are a weighty contribution to implementation of the national projects and ensure social stability in this country.
