OREANDA-NEWS. May 02, 2007. The sales of commercial products of KuibyshevAzot in the three months of 2007 totaled 4,1b. RUR, which in current prices 20% up as compared to the results in the same period of last year. The profit on sales rose by 43,3% to 466,5m. RUR, the net profit went up by 36,6% to 397,9m.RUR, reported the press-centre of KuibyshevAzot.
The positive change of figures is linked with the production growth (by 6,7%), improvement of the market situation in the global markets of the main products. The profitability of sales is 16,4% (13,8% for 6 months of 2006).
In comparison with the same period of 2006 in general all kinds of products showed growth in production:
- Ammonia: 99.43%
- Mineral fertilizers in terms of 100% N: 107,5%, including:
Ammonium nitrate: 107,1 %
Urea: 110,9 %
Ammonium Sulphate: 104,3%
- Caprolactam: 110,1 %
- Polyamide 6: 268,6%
- Technical Yarn: 112,7%
- Cord Fabric: 192,5%
The construction of the third 23,000 t/a line of the polyamide 6 plant is going on. Uhde Inventa Fischer, Germany is the supplier of the technology and the equipment. Upon the start-up of the new line in Q4, 2004 the total production of this product at KuibyshevAzot will reach 95,000 t/a.
The following activities are also in progress:
Construction project of the air separation unit, revamping of the ammonia plant to expand the capacity to 1,800 t/d, expansion of the water treatment plant, installation of the 4th spinning machine in the technical yarn unit.
