OREANDA-NEWS. A solemn award ceremony was held in the Novosibirsk Regional Council of Deputies for the contest “Director of the Year-2006”, which was arranged under the sponsorship of Chestnoye Slovo newspaper and of the Inter-regional Association of Enterprise Leaders. Its goal is to support company leaders and companies involved in different sectors of the economy in implementation of federal projects, aimed at the economic growth, at raising people’s living standards, at production development, at promotion of research and development achievements and at introducing innovative technologies in all areas of the economy. The contest participants were the heads of companies involved in different areas of economy, construction, the heads of medical institutions, educational and cultural institutions and housing and utilities managers of the Siberian Federal Territory. Among the winners is the Director General of OAO Novosibirskgorteploenergo Alexander Kozhin, whose professional achievements were so highly recognized by the expert commission.

Alexander Kozhin heads one of the most socially significant enterprises of the city, which supplies heat to the homes of the Novosibirsk residents. Every year Novosibirskgorteploenergo implements massive investment programs, aimed at enhancing reliability of the heat supply network and at reduction of heat losses. Last year, a heat conduit was renovated in Promyshlennaya Street, which allowed the Company to resolve the problems of heat supply in Kropotkin Street due to the switchover of the area from thermal power plant-4 to thermal power plant-5.

“The main goal of the Company’s investment program in 2007 is development of the heat supply networks of Novosibirsk, - Alexander Kozhin stressed. - We are to carry out works worth 785 million rubles, with the greater part of the amount to be invested in construction of the booster station-10. In addition, the heat conduit will be renovated in Krasin Street and in Trikotazhnaya Street and heat conduits will be built in Ordzhonikidze Street and in Leskov Street. Implementation of these projects will ensure stable heat supply to the existing consumers and addition of prospective workloads in the right-bank districts of the city of Novosibirsk”.

Alexander Kozhin has been managing Novosibirskgorteploenergo since the Company’s establishment. Under his skilful guidance, a committed team has been formed, professionally resolving complicated heat supply issues relating to Novosibirsk and to Kuibyshev.

“I am convinced of the effective management scheme and of the painstaking work of our team - Alexander Kozhin stressed, - as we have been able to bring about considerable reduction in the production losses, hence reduction of costs. Thus, we have solved one the major tasks of our work - keeping the heat power transport rates down. We have been able to do it".

The active social stance of Alexander Kozhin is revealed in his participation in the implementation of the City Program for Comprehensive Development of the Utilities Infrastructure, working in the area of heat supply. The program is aimed at stabilization of heat supply: it provides an opportunity of building new residential communities and presupposes replacement of old coal boiler houses with modern and reliable heat supply networks.
