OREANDA-NEWS. The results of the contest “2007 Faces: 50 Professionals of the Year” have been summarized. Korney Gibert, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of ОАО Novosibirskenergo, has been recognized as a winner in the nomination “For Professionalism and Effective Management”.

The contest was organized by the information research association “The Region’s Leaders” and was supported by the Regional Branch of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Novosibirsk Region. The purpose of the contest was to reveal people who achieved the highest results in work in 2006 and to summarize and to promote the best specialists’ work experience, in order to enhance the region’s investment attraction. The nominees were selected among politicians, business people, organization leaders, athletes and representatives of various professions. The nominees were evaluated by the expert council, which included the deputies to the City Council, public figures, representatives of the Novosibirsk Chamber of Trade and Industries, of business unions and associations, of political parties, and of art groups. The results of voting revealed 50 top successful people of Novosibirsk, who take an active part in the social life of Novosibirsk and of the Novosibirsk Region and occupy the leading positions in the local political and business communities.

Korney Gibert’s active social stance is displayed in his professional and political activities, as now the heads of many large companies appeal to his experience of turnaround management. In February 2007, he was appointed to be the executive director of NPO Elsib, so as to bring this unique machine-building enterprise to the design capacity level within the shortest time possible, to enter new markets, and to implement large-scale investment programs aimed at production expansion and diversification. Currently Korney Gibert is also the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of OAO Novosibirskenergo. Before February 22, 2007, Gibert was the Director General of this organization and now he is focused on solution of the strategic issues of the Company’s development. Gibert combines his activities in these important positions with active public work. Gibert is a deputy to the Regional Council, the President of the Novosibirsk regional branch of the Support Fund of United Russia party and the Chairperson of the Regional Employers’ Association of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Novosibirsk Region. In all the areas of his activities, Gibert demonstrates his commitment to development as the main principle of his life.
