OREANDA-NEWS. May 2, 2007.The awarding ceremony of the regional competition "Business Laureates – Ural’s Stars 2006" was held on April 26, 2007 in the conference hall of the Business, Exhibition and Entertainment Complex in the International Trade Center and Atrium Palace Hotel, Yekaterinburg. The competition was organized by Sverdlovsk region government, the Regional Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs and Federation of the Trade Unions of Sverdlovsk region.

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation was announced the winner of the regional competition in the nomination "Best Exporter". The award was handed to the representatives of the Company – A.N. Stroshkov, Director for Aerospace Marketing and Sales, and Yu. V. Kukanov, Chairman of the trade-union committee.

This year the competition aroused high interest among the Ural’s companies which was evident from the great number of participants and signifies much progress in the development of the regional economy. It would be sufficient to notice that over 70 companies from different industrial branches, agriculture and service sector became laureates of the competition, 17 participants were awarded with special diplomas.

The awards were given by the members of Sverdlovsk region government - G.А. Kovaleva, N.Т. Tikhonov, representatives of the Regional Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs – V.N. semenov, О.L. Podberezin, and representative of the Federation of the Trade Unions - А.L. Vetluzhskikh.
