OREANDA-NEWS. May 2, 2007. Realization of any project of trans-Caspian pipeline construction is practicable after the final regulation of the legal status of the Caspian Sea, Mikhail Bocharnikov, Ambassador of Russia to Kazakhstan considers.
“ First of all I’d like to mark, that development of the project of any trans-Caspian pipeline construction must follow settlement of the Caspian legal status-related issues” said official to “Interfax-Kazakhstan" Agency on Friday in Astana. At that, the diplomat emphasized that at development of such projects “the consequences having an impact on environmental should be taken into account”.
At meantime, Kazakhstan investigates possibility of its participation in construction of trans-Caspian pipeline. At that Kazakh’s official establishment state the realization of the project is practicable only with the account of all Caspian countries.
