OREANDA-NEWS. Alexey Marey has been appointed Director of Retail Banking of Alfa-Bank. He replaced in his role Victor Bashkirov who had been leading the business since 2004.

As the Director of the Retail Banking business, Alexey will be responsible for the development and implementation of retail and sales strategy in Moscow and the regions, ensuring the quality of all banking products and services offered to Alfa-Bank’s customers.

Alfa-Bank CEO Petr Smida has commented on this appointment as follows, "I see Alexey Marey’s appointment as Director of Retail Banking as a far-reaching and reasonable decision. Alexey successfully combines the experience in sales and distribution with knowledge of the banking business and financial products. He also possesses strong leadership skills.
