Within the framework of the process of establishing a single operator in the Volga region OJSC “VolgaTelecom” advertises about the start of GSM cellular services provision in Penza oblast since April 20, 2007. “Penza Mobile” company terminated the provision of DAMPS cellular services.

CJSC “Penza Mobile” became the ninth GSM asset of OJSC “VolgaTelecom” in the Volga region. The company’s plans for 2007 include the installation of more than 100 base stations in Penza city and Penza oblast, their switching capacity allows for providing the services to more than 200 000 subscribers. 

CJSC “Penza Mobile” will provide communication services in the new network under brand “ON”. Trade mark “ON” was designed in 2004 to promote mobile communication services by OJSC “VolgaTelecom” subsidiaries and currently it is represented at the networks of CJSC “NSS” (Nizhny Novgorod oblast), CJSC “Saratov Mobile” (Saratov oblast), OJSC “TATINCOM-T” (the Republic of Tatarstan), CJSC “RTCOM” (Mordoviya Republic), CJSC “Ulyanovsk-GSM” (Ulyanovsk oblast), CJSC “Orenburg-GSM” (Orenburg oblast) and CJSC “Chuvashiya Mobile” (Chuvashiya Republic). The basis of trade mark “ON” positioning in all Volga regions is the principle of low prices for mobile communication services, and this approach is consistently applied by the Company.

Since April 20, 2007 two new “ON” tariff rates of clear and simple s tructure will be available to the residents of Penza oblast:

- Tariff plan “ON1”: low cost of on-network calls - 0,50 rubles (VAT inclusive) and of SMS-messages - 0,25 rubles (VAT inclusive);
- Tariff plan “ON2”: flat rate per a minute in all directions of calls without charge for connection - 1,5 rubles (VAT inclusive).

Starting on the market, “ON” offers the best price inside the network to the subscribers - 0,01 rubles (VAT inclusive) per a minute.

“ON” subscribers in Penza oblast will have the entire range of required accompanying services: SMS, MMS, GPRS/WAP, CallBack and Camel roaming, DLD/ILD, caller ID / anti-caller ID, “Called number is responsible for payment”, “Who called?”, “I am on the line!”, and others.
