OREANDA-NEWS. At the session of the Duma of the Chaikovsky Town held on 25 April, the deputies considered and approved the investment program for construction, reconstruction, and technical upgrade of the communal power facilities of OJSC IES-Prikamye for 2007-2009. The program proposed by the enterprise won praise of the deputies and was adopted.

In mid-March, OJSC IES-Prikamye (managed by OJSC RCUS) won the tender for a long-term (10-year long) lease of the municipal power grid facilities in Chaikovsky. OJSC IES-Prikamye, one of the four contestants in the tender, proposed the largest amount of investments and overhaul and the highest lease payments for the use of municipal property. The lease agreement came into effect on 1 April 2007. During the agreement term OJSC IES-Prikamye will invest in the power grid complex of Chaikovsky some 200 mln rubles, of which 77,6 mln will be invested, 80 mln will be earmarked for overhaul of the facilities, and 8 mln rubles will be spent for reconstruction. Next 30 mln rubles will be transferred to the budget of the Chaikovsky Town as lease payments.

According to the investment program of OJSC IES-Prikamye for 2007-2009, during the first three years of the long-term lease the company will invest in construction, reconstruction, and technical upgrade of power facilities in Chaikovsky 57,9 mln rubles. These resources will be spent, in particular, to improve reliability of power supply, reconstruct the power supply system of the town's sewage disposal plants, and reduce of the losses of electric power.
