OREANDA-NEWS. This project (light-water reactor of new generation) is currently being applied by Atomstoryexport in the construction of Kudankulam NPP in India and Belene NPP in Bulgaria. EUR experts have examined the project and have recognized its as complying with all of their requirements. The certification ceremony took place in Moscow on Apr 24, reported the press-centre of  Atomstroyexport.


The certificate (a brass tablet with a relevant text) was granted by Chairman of EUR Steering Committee Bernard Roche to the authors of the project, Atomenergoproject FSUE, Hydropress EDB and Rosenergoatom Concern. The National Electric Company of Bulgaria was represented by the manager of Belene NPP Jordan Asenov Georgiev. Shortly, the contractor of Belene NPP, Atomstroyexport, will submit the certificate and the results of the EUR examination to the management of NECB. The EUR certificate has proved once again that NPP-92, a project applied by Atomstroyexport in many countries of the world, is safe ad reliable.
