FAS Russia Imposed a Fine of 400 Minimum Monthly Wages upon «Plastik-Media» Ltd
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 23, 2007 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) imposed a fine of 400 minimum monthly wages (40 000 Rubles) upon "Plastik-Media" Ltd. (the advertiser) for advertising the services of cellular operators on selling mobile content. The advertisement used images of women in obscene postures and erotic pictures; it was displayed in the Povezyot newspaper published by the "Logos-Media" Publishing House, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
Earlier, on 26th February 2007, FAS Russia recognized that the advertisement of the services offered by cellular operators in the "Povezet", "Ostrov Sokrovisch" and "Gvozd' Sezona" newspapers was improper and breached Part 6 Article 5 of the Federal Law "On Advertising" and, therefore, issued determinations to the advertiser - "Logos-Media" CJSC - to stop violating the advertising legislation.
