OREANDA-NEWS. The competitive presentation of the best projects of the “5S” system (within the frames of “Lean Production”) took place in the foundry of “KAMAZ-Metallurgy” Plc.

In winter the managers of the foundry and the masters of the main and auxiliary production facilities were taught according to “5S”. There were determined 67 working places for the pilot implementation of the methodology. 58 masters became the leaders in this direction.

According to M. Filippsky, the project leader of “Lean Production” in the foundry, the managers of the project groups received necessary assistance, the members of the teams got additional training. The workers shared their ideas with the managers how to use working hours more effectively.

There was organized the preparatory presentation of 58 projects. The commission allowed 11 best works to participate in the competition and struggle for the prize places.

The jury of the contest headed by the director of the foundry determined 5 winners in each of the following groups: among the main and auxiliary production facilities and services.
