A Presentation of the Trans-Siberian Express Zolotoi Oryol Will Take Place
OREANDA-NEWS. At 9am on 26 April, a presentation of the Trans-Siberian Express Zolotoi Oryol, or Golden Eagle, the first private luxury class tourist train in Russia, will take place at Belorussky Station in Moscow. Introducing the train will be Prince Michael of Kent and Vladimir Yakunin, President of Russian Railways. Among the guests will be Vladimir Strzhakovsky, the Head of the Russian Federal Tourist Agency, and Lyudmila Narusova, a member of Russia’s Federation Council. Other passengers will include representatives of foreign tour companies and journalists.
Zolotoi Oryol belongs to the British company GW Travel Ltd., which has a unique offer for foreign tour companies organising rail travel on the Trans-Siberian Main Line from Moscow to Vladivostok. The train is drawn by a steam engine and consists of 20 coaches and Gold and Silver class compartments, each of which is fitted with a shower with heated floor, an individual air conditioner, plasma TV and sound system, a fitted wardrobe and a comfortable bed. On the menu of the Trans-Siberian express are traditional Russian and Siberian dishes, including borshch, black caviar and vodka.
At 9.45 on 26 April 2007, the express will depart for Shcherbinka, where the passengers will visit the assembly hall of Zircon Service, where the train was made.
