OREANDA-NEWS. Vitaliy Satskiy, General Director, Chairman of the Board of Zaporizhstal JSC, Hero of Ukraine has been declared the winner of the all-national programme “Man of the Year 2006” in the nomination “Industrialist of the Year”.


More than 700 experts of the Highest Academic Council of this all-national programme concluded who was to receive the honorary title in different nominations. The winners awarding ceremony took place on March 17th in the National Hall “Ukraina”. At the request of the Hero of Ukraine, Vitaliy Antonovich Satskiy, his award was received by the member of the Highest Academic Council of the National Programme “Man of the Year”, the Mayor of Zaporozhye, Yevgeniy Kartashov. Accepting the statue of Prometheus the Mayor of Zaporozhye said: "Vitaliy Satskiy has given the most of himself to ferrous metallurgy and today, no doubt, he is the leader among industrialists of Zaporozhye and the whole of Ukraine".

Giving an interview Vitaliy Satskiy said: "I am greatly touched by such recognition of my services to the country. At the same time I would like to state that our Works has gained such high results due to the creative, self-sacrificing labour of the workers and engineering staff of Zaporizhstal JSC, which I am at the head of".
