OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2007. Uralsvyazinform sold 33.43% of Tatinkom-T, Tatarstan cellular operator, to VolgaTelecom OJSC, said in the company's announcement. March 29, 2006 Volgatelecom's BOD decided to increase its share in Tatinkom-T to 100%. The first stage of the plan is purchasing 33.43% of the company.

Volgatelecom is one of the largest interregional telecommunication companies of Svyazinvest Holding. Its authorized capital totals RUR 1639764970. The Company has issued 245969590 ordinary and 81983404 preferred shares of RUR 5 par. Its major shareholder is Svyazinvest (38% of the authorized capital). About 12% of the Company's shares are traded in over-the-counter markets of the USA in the form of ADR I level.
Volgatelecom's net profit under RAS increased 8.5% to 2.453 bln rub from in 2006 (2.261 bln rub in 2005). Revenues, according to preliminary information, increased 1.6% to 21.691 bln rub from 21.348 bln rub in 2005. EBITDA rose 4.6% to 7.082 bln rub from 6.772 bln rub. EBITDA margin made 32.7%. Proceeds from connection service made 20.367 bln rub (94% of total revenues)  Uralsvyazinform OJSC is a base operator of information and communication services of the Ural Region. Its authorized capital amounts to RUB 4.816 bn. The COMPANY has issued 32298782020 ordinary shares and 7835941286 preferred shares of 0.12 ruble par. Svyazinvest holds a controlling stake in the company (51.42% voting shares, 41.38% authorized capital). Legal persons have 27.1%; natural persons hold 8.5%. 13% shares are floated on foreign exchanges in the form of ADR/GDR.

Net profit of Uralsvyazinform under RAS decreased 5% to 2.084 bln rub in 2006 from 2.195 bln, Revenues rose 11.7% to 33.851 bln rub from 30.295 bln rub, expenses increased 14.6% to 26.218 bln rub from 22.88 bln rub. OIBDA rose 10.4% to 11.436 bln rub from 10.354 bln rub, OIBDA margin reduced to 33.8% to 34.2%. Operational profit increased 3% to 7.634 bln rub from 7.415 bln rub. Income before income taxes decreased 2.3% to 3.372 bln rub from 3.452 bln rub.
