OREANDA-NEWS. Since 15 April Russian Post changes working schedule of post offices. The trends happen as the enterprise holds customer-oriented policy aiming at quality improvement and higher availability of services granted, reported the press-centre of Russian Post. Now post offices of 1st class will work from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m. form Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. without lunch hours on Sunday. Moreover post plans 24-hours schedule for 1st class offices according to the standard of one post office for 250 000 people.


Post offices of 2nd class will work from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. without lunch hours on Sunday.
Post offices of 3rd class will work from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. with lunch hours 1-2 a.m. from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m. with lunch hours 1-2 a.m. on Saturday and week end on Sunday. Post offices of 4th class representing the majority of rural ones will work from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. with lunch hours 1-2 a.m. five days a week, from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. with lunch hours 1-2 a.m. on Saturday and two weekends on Sunday and one of weekdays.


The afore-mentioned working schedule will be set in post offices within two months. Post offices reequipment, all changes and upgrading processes held by the enterprise constantly extend the range of services and improve their availability. Along with traditional services nowadays post offers its customers different financial services as credit activities, loan payments, money orders and many other ones, various essential commodities from regular tickets and insurance policies to basic goods it also provides Internet access. They are popular not only in rural, remote and difficult-to-access regions but in cities as well. Multiple-choice services provided by the enterprise attract public attention that reflects in the former-year growth of volume of written correspondence by 9%, parcels by 60%, money orders by 36%, express-mails by 40%. New schedule of post offices work will help to minimize queues and let the customers visit post in more convenient time.
