OREANDA-NEWS. The government of the Russian Federation has made changes to the statutory acts providing stage-by-stage increase of share of electric power sold in the wholesale market under the prices non-controllable by the state.

According to the adopted decision, the share of the free market of electric power will be reconsidered twice a year - on January 1 and on July 1. Besides, exact volumes of electric power in the wholesale market delivered by controlled prices for the period till 2011 were being determined.

So, from January 1st till June 30th, 2007 they will make from 90 up to 95 %, from July 1st till December 31st, 2007 - 85-90 %; from January 1st till June 30th, 2008 - from 80 up to 85 %; from July 1st till December 31st, 2008 - from 70 up to 75 %; from January 1st till June 30th, 2009 - from 65 up to 70 %; from July 1st till December 31st, 2009 - from 45 up to 50 %; from January 1st till June 30th, 2010 - from 35 up to 40 %; from July 1st till December 31st, 2010 - from 15 up to 20 %.

Transition to completely competitive wholesale market will occur from January 1st, 2011. At the same time, the delivery of electric power to the population, without dependence from a share of liberalization of the wholesale market, will be carried out by the controllable prices till that time.
