In Q1 2007 EuroChem Enterprise in Nevinnomyssk Increased Output to RUR 3,8 Bn
OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2007. In the first quarter of 2007 Nevinnomyssky Azot product and service output was RUR 3.79 bn worth, or 126% of the level of 2006, reported the press-centre of EuroChem.
The enterprise produced 237,000 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (100% nutrient content), up 8% from the corresponding period last year. The total output of ammonia was 287,000 tonnes (105% of the level of Q1 2006). The overall output of urea increased by 3% to 220,000 tonnes, of which 153,000 tonnes of merchant-grade urea, or 115% of the level of 2006. The overall production of ammonium nitrate was 313,000 tonnes (113%), of which 173,000 tonnes of merchant-grade product, or 145% of 2006. The enterprise produced 99,000 tonnes (104%) of nitroammophoska, 189,000 tonnes (84%) of UAN solution due to the market environment and ammonium nitrate and urea sales increase.
The organics segments showed positive dynamics: methanol output increased to 33,000 tonnes (109.5%), acetaldehyde - 11,500 tonnes (116%), and acetylene – 9,700 tonnes (112%). The output of acetic acid reduced by 6% to 41,000 tonnes due to the scheduled maintenance of the synthesis reactor in January.
Energy saving as regards standard saving rates was 4,5% (electricity), 6,7% (steam), and 6,3% (circulating water).
At the quarter end the enterprise started a maintenance campaign. From March 26 the 1st line of acetylene and acetaldehyde equipment was shut down for maintenance. Together with organic synthesis shop shut down, KAAR-15 air separation unit was shut down for preventive maintenance, and, on March 31, methanol production units at shop No. 9.
