TENNET Successfully Passes EU Conformity Tests
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 13 2007 SITRONICS Telecom Solutions announcedthat the TENNET Next Generation Network range of products and solutions has received the European Community Declaration of Conformity having successfully past obligatory testing and a range of optional tests. As a result, SITRONICS can now deliver the TENNET solutions to clients throughout the European Union, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.
One of the key parts of the testing process was testing for compatibility of the implemented SS7 signalling systems which are necessary for interfacing between traditional TDM networks and Next Generation Networks. The testing of the TENNET system was conducted by the accredited laboratory of T-Com, a part of the Deutsche Telekom group.
Prior to these compatibility tests the TENNET system had met the basic requirements of European standards for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and safety. The subsequent and significantly more rigorous tests conducted by the T-Com laboratory revealed that the TENNET system easily meets far higher thresholds than are prescribed by the EU EMC standards. These tests confirm that when deployed in any network, the TENNET system causes absolutely no electro-magnetic interference upon other equipment and is itself resistant to such interference to the highest possible degree, and that the system presents no danger to its surroundings and operational personnel. These safety and resistance characteristics have also been proven in deployments of the TENNET system in the networks of Russia's largest municipal fixed-line MGTS and the network of the alternative T3 Telecom in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The in-house design TENNET platform enables telecommunication operators and communications providers to deliver voice, data and content services, including IPTV, together using standard IP protocol. Thanks to the TENNET system's support of open standards, the platform can be integrated with practically all types of legacy network equipment form 3 rd party vendors, thus optimising previous investments and enabling straight forward and cost effective expansion of network capacity and functionality. Combined with the FORIS BSS/OSS operational support and business management system from SITRONICS TS, the TENNET solution offers unlimited possibilities for the creation of service packages for carefully targeted groups of end-users with highly flexible billing and payment options.
