OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2007. The ecological policy of JSC “IDNC of the Center and North Caucasus” is a priority sector of the company’s operation, reported the press-centre of  JSC “IDNC of the Center and North Caucasus”.

Last year expenses on realization of the ecological policy of the company amounted to 19,809 mln rub.

In 2006 the ecological acivities were organized in the following ways – general activities, norm-setting activities and control of the ill effect on the environment and technological activities aimed at improvement of the ecological works.

All the RNCs signed  contracts on industrial waste utilization. 6,426 mln rub were transferred to collecting, storing and utilization of the industrial waste.

Chemical analysis and biotesting of storm-water inlets, on-time removal of the industrial and domestic waste, drawing up motor transport toxicity tickets and oil removers in washers, water consumption control, placing refuse collection containers, utilization of tires and tubes and luminescent lamps was carried out.
The technological activities included construction and repairs of oil receiving devices, replacement of oil switches by vacuum or gas insulated ones according to the investment programs of the RNCs, replacement of the obsolete lead-acid batteries.

All the RNCs drew up the ecological policy programs for 2007-2009 where much attention was paid to the waste water collection and purification, reasonable water consumption, handing worn-out tires and engine oil over into the specialized organizations, construction of the car-washing stations with water recycling system, etc.
The priority sectors of the ecological policy of JSC “IDNC of the Center and North Caucasus” for 2007-2009 in providing ecological safety of the equipment being expoitated are reconstruction of the static condenser batteries, replacement of the oil-filled equipment (lead-in switches, measuring transformers) by the gas-insulated, vacuum and dry one, construction of the oil-receiving devices with the waste water purification system.

The main objective for 2007-2009 set before the JSC “IDNC of the Center and North Caucasus” is the introduction of the ecological management system according to the ISO 14001:2004 International Standard at all the RNCs.
