OREANDA-NEWS. Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill has completed its first audit of integrated management system compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and 9001:2000 international standards. The system emerged when the certified quality and environment management systems were unified into one integrated management system that meets the requirements of both standards early in 2006.

While carrying out the audit, Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) expert auditors visited a number of services, shops and production units, interviewed the mill’s specialists, and analyzed the document base. During the final meeting Anna Rudakova, head of the auditing group, assessed highly the mill’s integrated management system noting in particular that “the management adopts the leading role in implementing the system and demonstrates high competence while analyzing it.”

The audit has shown that the company’s integrated management system is in full compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and 9001:2000 international standards and is functioning efficiently.
