OREANDA-NEWS. On April 13, 2007 Gazprommedstrakh, part of SOGAZ Insurance Group, has been declared the winning bidder in an open competition to choose providers of compulsory medical insurance (OMS in Russian) for staff at the Property Relations Committee of the Murmansk City Administration, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.
Gazprommedstrakh’s Murmansk regional office has been in operation since October 2003. In December 2006 Gazprommedstrakh was once again declared the winning bidder in an open competition to choose compulsory medical insurance providers for the unemployed population of Murmansk and the Murmansk Region. The company insures over 7,400 enterprises and organisations operating in the area. A total of 330 thousand people who are currently employed in companies operating in the region are covered under the OMS scheme.In order to provide free medical care for the entire OMS-insured population of the Murmansk Region, Gazprommedstrakh has signed contracts with all local medical institutions working within the OMS scheme.
