OREANDA-NEWS. On April 19, 2007, the official ceremony will mark the connection of the Beregovoye gas and oil condensate field to the gas transportation system of Russia via the Zapolarnoye-Urengoi pipeline. JSC Sibneftegaz, in which JSC Acron holds a 21 per cent stake, has mineral rights to the minefield, reported the press-centre of JSC Acron. Sibneftegaz estimates it will extract roughly 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas this year. In the following years, gas condensate recovery will increase roughly to 12 billion cubic meters per year. Total natural gas reserves at the field are estimated at 320 billion cubic meters.  Acron’s Management Board extends its congratulations to shareholders on this important event, explaining that, because of the new connection, Acron now owns minority stakes in its suppliers of all types of strategic raw materials.

In addition to its stake in Sibneftegaz, Acron holds 8,1% of voting shares in JSC Silvinit, one of the largest potassium salt miners and potassium fertilizer producers in Russia.  As a founder of CJSC Nordic Rus Holding, Acron holds 10,3% of voting shares in JSC Apatit, a major Russian phosphate rock producer. Acron also holds 100% of the voting shares in CJSC North-Western Phosphorous Company, which has a subsoil licenses to mine apatite-nepheline ore at Oleny Ruchey and Partomchorr fields in the Murmansk region.
