OREANDA-NEWS. A Board of Directors of Gazprom decided to open a Gazprom’s Representative Office in the town of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the Sakhalin Oblast.

The Representative Office’s major task is to provide organizational support of Gazprom’s strategy for the Sakhalin offshore hydrocarbon exploration.

The Representative Office will coordinate Gazprom’s operating activity in the sector of subsoil use, land utilization, licensing, taxation and pricing as well as create favorable working conditions for Gazprom’s specialists and subsidiaries in the region.
