OREANDA-NEWS. In 2007 declared in the country as the year of the Russian language Russian Post jointly with Home Credit and Finance Bank extend the range of the services on subscription for books. Since April customers can subscribe for the editions of "Public library of "Ogoniok" on credit by special bank’s program. This is a new stage of the project implemented on 1 July 2006 by Russian Post jointly with the editorial staff of the magazine "Ogoniok" and book club "Terra" supported by the Ministry of Communications Information technologies of the RF, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.


This project focuses on the people living in the settlements and difficult-to-access parts of the country in which post represents one of few means of communications and provides different services. Recently books are well-known as increasingly expensive pleasure for people and this fact is explained by high prices for book cover, paper and design of good quality. Credit program of Home Credit and Finance Bank enables the customers to purchase editions and collect exclusive home library. It let people who can’t pay for the series subscription once buy books for themselves and their children.


At the first stage of the project customers can subscribe for the editions of "Public library of "Ogoniok" on credit in the post offices numbered 200 units throughout the country where Russian Post and Home Credit and Finance Bank already grant their joint services. To subscribe for the editions on credit customers must make first payment on the minimal sum rated not less than 30% of subscription cost. Sum of credit varies within the limits from 2 000 to 60 000 rubles for a term of 6, 8 or 12 months. Customers can make loan payments in all post offices. New subscription catalogue for the first half year 2007 includes collected editions of R. Kipling, A. Christy, A. Duma, M. Gorkiy and many other favourite authors along with the books of Russian and foreign classics, Big Encyclopedia "Terra", Encyclopedic Dictionary by F.A. Brokgauz and I.A. Ephon presented in the former catalogue.
