FAS Russia Conducts the Analysis of the Retail Markets of Oil Products
OREANDA-NEWS. In order to reveal and suppress the violations of the antimonopoly legislation, in particular, the infringement of the Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abuse of dominant position) the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) conducts the analysis of the retail markets of oil products looking for the presence of collective dominance of economic entities, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. Pursuant to Part 3 of the Article 5 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" the economic entities are acknowledged as collectively dominant in the commodity market if the aggregate share of not more than three economic entities exceeds fifty per cent, or the aggregate share of not more than five economic entities exceeds seventy per cent (at that, the share of each of them is not less than eight per cent of the market).
According to the preliminary data the collective dominance has been revealed in 38 regions of the Russian Federation: Republic of Bashkortostan, Republic of Altai, Karachaevo-Circassian Republic, Republic of Karelia, Republic of Tatarstan, Udmurt Republic, Chuvash Republic, Krasnodar Kray, Perm Kray, Primorskiy Kray, Stavropol Kray, Amur region, Arkhangelsk region, Astrakhan region, Bryansk region, Vologda region, Irkutsk region, Kaliningrad region, Kaluga region, Kamchatka region, Kirov region, Kostroma region, Kursk region, Lipetsk region, Magadan region, Murmansk region, Novgorod region, Pskov region, Saratov region, Sverdlovsk region, Sakhalin region, Smolensk region, Tambov region, Tula region, Saint Petersburg city, Ulyanovsk region, Yaroslavl region, Nenets autonomous district. The Federal Antimonopoly Service will pay special attention to behavior of the participants of the market of oil products in these regions in order to prevent abusing of dominant position by them.
