OREANDA-NEWS. On April 16, 2007 retail chain “Magnit”, Russia’s leading retail chain in terms of number of stores and customers, announced April 2007 Head Office members update. Dear Sirs, We would like to inform you that as of 16 April, 2007 Pawel Prokop is appointed an Operational Director, Hypermarkets, of the retail chain “Magnit”, reported the press-centre of   “Magnit”.

Pawel Prokop is a graduate of Warsaw Polytechnic Institute with major in engineering and aircraft construction (1985), holds an MBA of Royal University College of Antwerp (1999). Mr. Prokop started his career in 1992 as a sales and marketing director in Bazarnik SA, specializing in office supplies. In 1996 Pawel Prokop was invited by the American company McLane Polska for a position of a director of the distribution centre. From 1998 to 2002 held various positions in Metro Cash & Carry: director, logistics and business development (Poland), operational director (China), international project manager of logistics (Germany). In 2002 acted as a chief executive officer of McLane Polska. From 2005 to 2007 Pawel Prokop occupied the position of an operational director of the hypermarket chain “Lenta”.
