OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2007. The Russian side was led by the first deputy director general of Rosenergoatom Alexander Lokshin, the French side – by Bernard Roche, reported the press-centre of Rosenergoatom.
The committee discussed the terms and the format of the cooperation. The sides pointed out that, now that both companies have undergone reforms, their existing agreement should be revised and a new agreement should be signed.
The committee considered and approved a cooperation program for 2007. The budget of this year’s program totals $31mln against $1mln in 2006. This year the sides are planning a lot of joint projects in traditional spheres of their cooperation.
The sides exchanged opinions about their joint activities. Particularly, they considered a 30mln EUR joint project for enhancing the safety of Kalinin NPP. All necessary preparations have already been made.
The Rosenergoatom-EDF cooperation was started in 1993. Since then the companies have cooperated in different formats. Presently, they are cooperating under a Partnership Agreement and are implementing six big projects in Russia.
