VNIIGAZ Hostes International Conference DISCOM-2007
OREANDA-NEWS. On April 10, 2007 VNIIGAZ has hosted the 3-rd International Scientific and Technical Conference “Computer Technologies of Decision Making Support in Dispatching Management of Gas Transmission and Producing Systems” (Conference), reported the press-centre of Gazprom.
Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee reported at the plenary meeting.
In particular, Alexander Ananenkov underlined topical issues of the gas industry in the dispatching management sector.
The reporter underscored that uniqueness and significance of the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia (UGSS), its dynamic development, constant gas supply security requirements rising, gas production and transportation security and the Program implementation to reform Gazprom’s management structure require technical and organizational modernization of dispatching management system.
The reporter specified that at present the purposeful work set-up plays a major role to create modern complexes for dispatching decision support at all levels of gas transportation system management: from gas production up to gas distribution via UGSS in Russia.
In delivering his report, Alexander Ananenkov underscored that it is necessary to pay attention to increase a dispatching personnel preparation level. It is necessary to upgrade training methods including implementation of modern training programs, training machines and computer classes.
The reporter also touched upon issues relevant to the international dispatching cooperation. He underscored the necessity to strengthen operating coordination of dispatchers with all participants of gas production, transportation and consumption and the integrated information system set-up to provide dispatching operations.
