Localities of Bajkalovsk Area Were Flooded but Thanks to Engineers of Sverdlovenergo there Appeared to Be no Black Out
OREANDA-NEWS. On the territory of responsibility of Talitsk power networks of Bajkalovsk urban district several localities were cut off by floodwater. They are: Jar village which is inhabited by 57 people, Red Bor village with 27 people, Borovikovo village, “Ubilejny” sanatorium - 56 people. Two bridges across the Nitsa river are also flooded, ferryboats do not function till the end of ice passing, and there is no alternative routing. Notwithstanding all this, power supply was not stopped, reported the press-centre of Sverdlovenergo Public Company.
Earlier power engineers paid great attention to “Bazhenovo” substation, “Krasnojarsk” substation and other sites which are essential to provide these localities with power. All the arrangement work to get prepared to the spring flood 2007 was made in time, workers examined carefully the electric installations before any spate occurred and prevented the possibility of any risky situation. These actions saved power consumers in flooded areas from black out. There is also an agreement on collaboration of power engineers with MChS of Bajkalovsk urban district.
