OREANDA-NEWS. On April 03, 2007 Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais and the Tomsk Region Governor Victor Kress held a working meeting to discuss the matters relating to the current operations and development of the region's energy system, reported the press-centre of  RAO "UES of Russia". In particular, they considered the performance of the energy companies of RAO "UES of Russia" operating in the Tomsk Region during the 2006/2007 autumn-winter period. Anatoly Chubais and Victor Kress stated that it would be necessary to resolve the problem of payment of the current debts owed by municipal enterprises for the electricity and heat supplied by RAO UES subsidiaries as soon as practicable.


The chief executive of RAO "UES of Russia" and the Tomsk Region Governor also discussed the prospects for implementing the investment programmes of TGC-11 and the regional grid company. As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed that, by end-June 2007, they will sign an Agreement on joint implementation of investment projects designed to develop the Tomsk Region energy system.
