OREANDA-NEWS. On April 02, 2007 Directorate of Raiffeisen Bank Aval has become the winner of the prestigious regional rating "Galician Knight" in the category "Galicia" by results of 2006.  It is reported by the Bank’s Public Relations Department with reference to Lviv OD. The celebration in honor of those worthy and ambitious within the frames of the "Galician Knight" project has been held since 1999, but this year the awarding differed from the previous ceremonies by a wide geography of nominees and guests of the event.
Citizens from the USA and Poland, representatives from Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts competed to have the honor to be named the noble keeper of the Galician Crown.
According to the traditions of the "Galician Knight" rating program, there are two categories of the candidates: the "Galician Knight" category embracing prominent personalities in the sphere of art, journalism, science, education, sports; and the "Galicia" category, which covers leading institutions and organizations in medicine, trade, IT-technologies, banking, consulting, tourism. The winners were defined by the "Galician Knight’s" Honorary Board, composed of winners of the previous years. In addition, there was an Internet polling made, which results were of a recommending character. Lviv Oblast Directorate of Raiffeisen Bank Aval was awarded in the nomination "Bank of the Year" for the successful re-branding campaign in 2006, financing agro-industrial enterprises and the economy real sector as well as for the people’s high level of trust.
