Sergey Khomyakov Is Appointed to the Post of Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee
OREANDA-NEWS. On March 28, 2007 the Gazprom Board of Directors has agreed on the appointment of Sergey Khomyakov to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, reported the press-centre of Gazprom. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee designated Sergey Khomyakov to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee to be overlapped with the duties of Director General of the Gazprom Security Service.
S. Khomyakov was born in the town of Sortavala of the Karelia ASSR. In 1976 S. Khomyakov graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute obtaining the degree of PhD in Economics. Over 2002 to 2003 S. Khomyakov was Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations with the (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) Moscow Mint. From 2003 - First Deputy Director General of the Gazprom Security Service. In 2007 S. Khomyakov was named as Acting Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Acting Director General of the Gazprom Security Service. Sergey Ushakov, previously serving as Director General of the Gazprom Security Service, has been relieved of his post due to a job transfer.
